1440 {20} :: moving on

+  I love the fall….
maybe even more than spring.
+  But this year,
I’m ready to move on…
+  Ready to begin fully celebrating Christmas and the Christmas season.
Decorating and gifting and holiday baking.
Maybe even some entertaining, if we can manage it.

+  What I’m truly looking forward to, though, is slowing down,
breathing in,
giving thanks,
enjoying my family.

Here’s to a wonderful Holiday Homecoming, even if you haven’t been away.

    Stephanie - I remember long ago a German friend of mine saying he loved the time from Thanksgiving to New Year’s most because ‘everything slows down’. I like to get my shopping done fairly early so that I can concentrate on decorating, and music, and festivities, myself.

    Amy @ The Avery House - Hi there sweet friend! I am getting back out into the blog world and your blog home is the first place where I am linking up again. As always I find true inspiration in the images that you capture through photography as well as the words you write to accompany them. They are the perfect pairing like a good book and a cup of coffee on a cold winter’s day. I look forward to catching up with you. In the mean time, I wish you peaceful and blessed moments during the season we are approaching.

    Danielle - Learning how to capture the ‘blue hour’ was, what I feel, my most beautiful shot of the week. I love what you wrote about ‘holiday homecoming’…that is exactly how I view the month of December. I really cut back and sit and ‘breathe’ during that month…unlike many is my month to just ‘be’.
