1440 {88} :: Easter Eye-Candy

a friend recently asked if i had images she could use for a presentation.
that sent me hunting through my tens of thousands of pictures that i’ve taken since 2011.

i was totally startled by what i saw…
over-exposure, under-exposure, grain {when i didn’t want grain}, cut-off bottoms, wonky white balance…

but i also saw how i used to see things…
beauty everywhere.
nurtured. growing wild. free. contained.

and i realized, like nester says,

it doesn’t have to be perfect to be beautiful.

i wonder if that’s how God sees us?

even with all our weeds,
imperfect, beautiful messes.

happy good friday.
happy easter.

    Amy Avery - What a gift my friend to be able to look back and realize that yes, that is how God sees us. We are imperfect, but we are beautiful and made even more so when we relinquish our need to be perfect and simply cling to and trust in him. God gave you and amazingly beautiful and caring heart for everyone whom you encounter. God also gave you a discerning eye in which you are able to look beneath the surface not only in nature, but also in people to uncover the beauty that lies within. Thank you for stretching towards God’s light and sharing his beauty through the gifts and talents that he placed right within you. May your Easter be filled with many blessings and opportunities to go deeper to see the beauty within! xoxo

    Diane - Thank you for your post. I often get so caught up in the fact that I am not a photographer, that my editing skills are crude, and I don’t own an actual camera, that I loose sight of the practice of simply enjoying the fun of taking photos.
