Photo a la {M}ode {21} :: {Hello Again!}

ISO  400, f/16, 1/1250, 60mm It’s been a little crazy here. I have three posts in draft right now, and somehow, didn’t meet my own deadlines for any of them. They’ll emerge sometime, but not now. Because now, I am privileged to witness my oldest at his best, showing me and everyone else a little […]

I love the softness of her photos, especially the first one with the girl, and the one of the wedding couple. Great work!

Kelly Sauer - July 27, 2011 - 11:59 am

Patty, thank you! I always love hearing why others like my work – you help me see me through your eyes. You are ever so kind – and I KNOW you have such a good eye yourself, so knowing how you see my work just blows me away!

Oh, and my son’s name is Bredon – I’m sorry I forgot to mention that to you

Best of luck to your son too – He has a fan here in Charleston!

Lizzi S. - July 28, 2011 - 4:52 am

Kelly’s work is beautiful! You are right – they remind me of the beach.

I’ve been in a photographic rut, and have barely taken my camera out of its bag. Needless to say, I have not been rockin’ manual, but next week I’m determined to get back into the swing of things!

Hope you’re having a great week! :)

Hey Patty! Her work is just lovely! Thanks so much for sharing with us!

I am finaly taking my first photo class tomorrow afternoon! I am really excited to see what all I’ll learn.

K….saw the Charleston comment—is your son going to visit Charleston, SC? I love it down there! Y’all take care!

Susan (Runnermom) - July 29, 2011 - 12:44 am

Girl, don’t know what happened with the comment! I promise I didn’t do it!!! Just pressed “post”!

Suzanne - July 29, 2011 - 3:11 am

I have heard Kelly’s
name but never saw
her work, so this is
a real treat, Patty.
Hope you are enjoying
your sandy getaway….
Just back from ours.
Wish I had pics that
I felt were worthy.

So who is my favorite photographer????. Hands down it is this beautiful woman I met by chance one day named Patty. Yep, friend, it’s you. And it’s not because I am complimenting you because this is your blog. Your photograohs, for me, evoke the same response that you have for Kelly’s photos. Each and every time I see your photography, I am grateful for your gift. Your recent post on “Chaos and her Friends” blew me away. Stunning images! Better than real life even. And they teach me so much. I have learned so much not only from your tutorials, but also from your actual photos. So, that’s it. You are it. And I thank you, talented friend of mine! You are quite spectacular!

Cate - July 30, 2011 - 7:04 pm

Thanks for this post Patty. Kelly’s work is gorgeous and I’m off to go and explore her blog now.

Hope that you are enjoying your summer x

ISO 320, f/3.2, 1/4000, 155mm Taken with a 70-300mm zoom from our boat. Summer seems a hard time for blogging, doesn’t it? I’m missing some of my favorite blogging friends, but I’m also feeling the summer crunch. I’ve been thinking a lot about this series. I think I’m going to make it a Wordless Wednesday, […]

Cate - July 22, 2011 - 9:32 am

Just stunning – and you did well to capture this from the back of a boat!

Suzanne - July 25, 2011 - 11:36 pm

I hear you.
I’m on holiday now,
but trying to squeeze
some blog visits in
among the porch swinging,
book reading and friend
visiting. Enjoy!

Chaos and her friends

Chaos slips in disguised by music and conversation and movement… She and her friends, Stress and Haveto and Worry and Fear and Doitall and Noise and Insecurity (oh, that Insecurity!) Threaten to dance all over my garden of peace and hope. So I change my focus, and hide down low in stillness and morning dew […]
