about grace

There’s this lingering thing that sits with me. I only notice it when I am still. Then, when I try to listen to it, I can only hear this little question, What is Grace? It’s soooo soft, I can hardly hear it, but I know it’s there. It leaves me restless. I dance around it, […]

summer saturday mornings

He kisses me on the cheek, and whispers, C’mon… It’s like glass. Before I realize I am awake, I’m in my bathing suit and a sweatshirt and find myself in front of my sink. The water from the spigot is cool and finally, peels me from sleep. I smell coffee and am grateful for coffee […]

love. very much!

Jessica Washburn - August 23, 2011 - 1:55 am

Beautiful sun rise. I need to get out early with my camera more. I’m hoping my new phone that I just ordered has a decent camera so I can capture some shots on my early runs. The boys went back to school today, and with Jaxon having grown several inches over the summer (seriously), and being a big junior high boy now…I was kind of emotional….until I when for a run and a swim. Amazing how that can make everything better. :) Love ya!

Btw, Soph heard I was sad and said, “It’s OK Mommy, you and I can still spend time together.” She also suggested that a movie would make me feel better. :) Too cute. I’m going to call you tomorrow K? xoxo

You sure do know how to brighten someone’s day, my friend! A “photographer”?! That makes me smile because I just copy YOU! :) xoxo

Amy Avery - August 22, 2011 - 12:28 pm

Patty, sweet fiend, thank you for linking to me! I have enjoyed linking up to your blog over the past months and really have learned so much from you. I look forward to your next adventures in photography, but mostly I look forward to just seeing you here in this place. I am blessed to know you in person as well and I am thankful to have made such a wonderful new friend in you through Photo a la {M}ode. Thank you for extending that friendship and for sharing your expertise in photography. I have enjoyed learning how to “rock” manual mode with you!
xoxo
