I captured the process of making jam and lastnight I began to take photographs – just snaps really of some baking I was doing for my sister’s birthday.

Your photograph of the Effiel Tour, reminds me of the picnic I had with friends sitting in the gardens just behind it, after a lengthy day stuck in the car.

Sommerfugl Design / Desirae R - July 31, 2012 - 10:52 am

What a beautiful post.

I think beauty means something different to me each day. Today it is the beauty in silence, and the beauty of having family willing to help.

Kent Weakley - July 31, 2012 - 11:30 am

Wonderful words and photo.

Danielle - July 31, 2012 - 1:11 pm

I have found myself thinking about this a lot lately…especially as I step out of my comfort zone with my photography…I used to be strictly a nature photographer (Florida birds especially) but now I am finding I love to find beauty in the every day…getting up close and personal with what we miss by just looking straight ahead and not up/down and sideways. Great post.

WARNING: You may need sunglasses {and coffee} to read this post.  With the weather rainy like it’s been, and with our travelling this summer, it feels like we’ve hardly spent any time on the lake. So we rectified that this past weekend…  My son Austin, who hasn’t been on a wakeboard in two years {he’d […]

I was browsing through the blog and noticed you mentioned you shoot with a DSLR, and I just wanted to know if you have done a post on it or can give further details. Gorgeous pictures and I absolutely love the word Serendipity, its what brought me to this page.

becky - July 25, 2012 - 12:12 am

You weren’t kidding. I did catch myself squinting as each pic went by. It was like watching an actual sunset. So proud of you for conquering a fear. I tried it once and never attempted again. I never could pop up. You go girl!
