Magic and Hope and Your Wildest Dreams

{My apologies! This post was scheduled to be published on New Years Day.} There’s always a Christmas story to tell, isn’t there? Sometimes, {especially} the hoped-for gift.While I […]

It’s funny how making
their dreams come true
can make our own hearts
sing like there is no tomorrow….!

Hope your 2013 has been
wonderful, so far. Your
family is beautiful : )

I love this post. Nothing like getting your kids what they really really want. So fun. You’re a good momma. Hope you’re having a ball on your trip. I’m dying to see those pics.

Southern Gal - January 6, 2013 - 12:09 pm

Sweet surprises. They are always so much fun when they are truly unexpected. Good job.

Danielle - January 6, 2013 - 1:13 pm

I just love the bokeh over the coffee ;) ….very festive and colorful photos.

Mitzi - January 6, 2013 - 3:43 pm

I love how you set them up to not be disappointed and then came through in the end. I can only imagine the joy and excitement felt by all when they discovered those “special” gifts in their stockings! Beautiful post!

Bokeh steam??!!?? Seriously??!!??? I’m in love!

1440 {24} :: Aja

All the things that Isis is, Aja {pronounced “Asia”} is the opposite. She is a worker bee. A herder. A protector. She is busy, busy, busy. And at 8, she is just learning how to let us love on her. Asa is a pound puppy rescue that my son chose when he was ten. He […]

Wow, Patty…I had an Aja for many years, tho she was a cat. I’ve never known anyone else to use that spelling. (From Steely Dan?) Love it.

JoAnn - December 29, 2012 - 3:15 pm

my great grandfather’s name was ciba. I never met him, but it made me happy to see his name there, right out of the blue. It’s a rare one you know, so i don’t stumble across it often. And I love my dog. I hated the yorkie we had before my Great Dane, so maybe I’m only a big dog person.

Danielle - December 30, 2012 - 1:52 pm

Life would have a little less joy in it if it weren’t for our pets. They bring us hours of entertainment and lovely wet sloppy kisses…much like our daughter when she was younger ;)

Isis is lovely! I often times think the exact same thing that I could definitely learn a lesson or two from my own sweet fur babies!

Laurie @ Pride in Photos - December 27, 2012 - 2:22 pm

Yes, we all could learn a lesson or two…totally agree. I had to laugh though…my post today is about the same thing only with my baby grandson♥ Great minds think alike☺ Have a great day.

Thank you for your post-
I love the glitter
and the ornaments-my Mom had some of those EXACT ornaments on our tree. She has been gone for more years than I care to recall and so have those ornaments. I think this was her way of sending me a Merry Christmas, I Love You today :-)
I needed that :-)
Merry, Merry Christmas~
Thank you again for sharing-

1440 {23} :: Missing Home

Even as I type this, snowflakes begin to fall in the south. It’s not that often that I miss living in the north, but Christmas always brings an internal pull to home. I imagine that most of us feel that way, a longing for the surroundings that return us to our youth, to a time […]

I’ve always lived in the midwest and I guess can’t imagine the holidays without snow – BUT – I would love to try it!

missing moments - December 21, 2012 - 6:35 pm

Lovely words and photos … but even being a midwest girl … the warmth of the beach always calls to me.

Ewa "Mom Photographer" - December 21, 2012 - 9:30 pm
