1440 {44} :: The Last Game

This isn’t the post I was going to write.I had intended to scan some old photos of him, and tell you about this young man who continues to amaze and humble me. But in the middle of the stress and busy chaos that comes with this time, I think the nostalgia would crumble me. He’s...

Oh, that is absolutely amazing. Congratulations to them! Your writing brought back such memories of long spring/summer nights at the baseball field.

Jenn - May 17, 2013 - 10:19 am

Congratulations! The pictures are all well captured.

Dina@4LettreWords - May 17, 2013 - 10:49 am

Bittersweet, my friend. But what amazing memories you have with your beautiful photos. XO!!

Vicki Wice - May 17, 2013 - 12:03 pm

I felt the same feelings last year with it being my son’s last year at West. You captured my feelings that I had last year at this time. You watch your son grow up doing what he loves and then in a flash, it’s over and new chapter begins. Prayers for Jordan beginning his new chapter!

Kim Cunningham - May 17, 2013 - 12:50 pm

These are incredible, story telling images! You did a beautiful job. This is such a bittersweet season, I’m sure.

cathy - May 17, 2013 - 12:50 pm

that video made me cry.

keep calm and carry on. these days for you are emotionally loaded on every level!

xoxo

“The sound of the Trojans coming”, I love that. I loved this post, I’m in tears really. As a mom of a boy who has always played sports, I understand the bittersweet of this…as my son was recently diagnosed with systemic juvenile idiopathic rheumatoid arthritis and we aren’t sure at this point if he will ever be able to play sports again…he is fifteen…and an incredible football player. Going to get my tissues now…thank you for sharing this!

Laurie @ pride in photos - May 17, 2013 - 2:55 pm

This is one of the most beautiful tributes to a child….God Bless YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hannah - May 17, 2013 - 4:46 pm

My niece graduates in two weeks. TWO weeks. I can’t imagine when it’s my son out there. Time just flies when you are having fun!

Beautiful colors. What a magnificent sunset.

1440 {42} :: May

College graduate, Bailee I suppose you can tell by my absence from my blog what a crazy time of year this is. And this year? This year, my oldest graduates from high school. {I have yet to take HIS senior pictures!} His baseball team finished 2nd in our district, so we will host post-season games....

We live in a similar community, Patty. It’s soooo wonderful to be surrounded by such history. Hope y’all can relax a bit this weekend! :)

Molly - May 3, 2013 - 11:52 am

Sounds like you live in a beautiful place.

Mollyxxx

Southern Gal - May 3, 2013 - 11:56 am

Beautiful photo. We live in a small town like that. I don’t attend high school reunions because I see almost everyone on a daily basis. ;) A little exaggeration there, but not too far from the truth.

Tiaras & Tantrums - May 3, 2013 - 1:27 pm

oh May is crazy busy isn’t it!? Adorable photo

Kim Stevens - May 3, 2013 - 1:27 pm

That is one incredible photo, and I’m finding that so many parents of my children, so many…have grown up here and never left. My daughter is graduating too this year, so bittersweet!

Kim Cunningham - May 3, 2013 - 2:05 pm

Beautiful. I love everything about this! This time of year is a bit chaotic.

Hannah - May 3, 2013 - 3:44 pm

Beautiful. I love the glitter and the chalk writing, very cool.

Suzanne - May 5, 2013 - 4:26 pm

Such a sweet picture–
you are so talented, Patty!

You know I’m in the
same boat. My 8th grade
son had his first baseball
game of the season on
Friday night–an hour north
of here, 43 degrees. BRRR!

And don’t get me started
on my girl. Prom is next
week and finals start 10
days later. My first baby;
now my senior!

Love & hugs as we walk
this journey, together….

xo Suzanne

1440 {41} :: She’s Late, But She’s Here

 Spring came late this year.  We had so much rain and cold weather…  But then one day,  {and seemingly, all at once}  There were blossoms on the trees again. * {Have a wonderful weekend!} *** Favorite Photo Friday Friday Photo Journal *

Our trees were sooo full this year, tho. Guess it was worth the wait! :) Have a blessed weekend, Patty. XO!

They are gorgeous, I love all the white and green, so refreshing.
Thank you for sharing and having the party :)

Tiaras & Tantrums - April 26, 2013 - 4:43 pm

our trees are ‘just barely beginning to bud here. There is a robin who built a nest in our parkway and she laid two eggs already – my kiddos are so worried about them b/c there won’t be any leaves on the tree when they hatch!

Kim Cunningham - April 26, 2013 - 5:46 pm

Enjoy springs grand entrance…late, but beautiful!

Laurie - April 27, 2013 - 12:24 pm

Oh how lovely!! We had spring poke her head out only to be frozen twice:( All my lovely fruit trees will likely not produce this year. Your photos make me happy to look at.

Ross - April 28, 2013 - 6:58 am

Sounds like our spring! We are still a few weeks out for blossoms but at least the weather is smartning up!Beautiful shots!

1440 {40} :: More Baseball

It’s tough being a pitcher’s mama… we’re excited for his opportunity, and scared to death about how he’ll do. This one? He never disappoints. Even when the pitch is less than perfect, he fights on. He let’s go. He learns from his mistakes. He gets back up again. He encourages his teammates. He knows what’s...
