Friday Morning Coffee:: For the Love of Blogging

So, how are you? Busy holiday season, I know. Seems I can’t catch up with my feet. Still have some trees to undecorate {travelling hindered that}, some thank-you’s to write-for sure, some household business to take care of… And then there are all the new projects for the new year. *sigh* I’ve had another project […]

Aw Patty, that is one of my favorite pictures too! Jess didn’t tell me she cancelled! :-( Boo! In any case, I am SUPER excited to see you too! If you are still looking for a roommate, let me know–you could stay with me if you don’t mind sharing with 3 people. :-) xoxo P.S. Only a month to go!

Southern Gal - January 20, 2012 - 12:55 pm

I think you’re pretty joyful, too!

Oh, how I’d love to go to Blissdom and meet you and all those other awesome bloggers out there. It happens on a birthday week around here, so not this year. I know you’ll have a great roommate.

Nancy - January 20, 2012 - 2:32 pm

Patty —

first, thanks so much for stopping by and commenting on my blog — I appreciate your thoughtfulness!

Secondly, love your blog! Good luck with your linky party. If you decide to make it a permanent fixture on your blog, let me know. I’m always interested in new linkups!

Have a wonderful weekend — :)

Cate - January 21, 2012 - 8:34 am

Thank you for mentioning my link up girlfriend. And I would LOVE to be your roomy at Blissdom – if only airfares from NZ didn’t require me to go and rob a bank…. :-(

*Sigh* – another year of enjoying the conference vicariously through your posts and gorgeous pics :-)

Saturday Morning Coffee & a Guest Post

Good Morning! It seems so long since I’ve written a post like this… You know, a How are ya, friend? kinda post. Life has been so crazy here. We just finished our first week of Summer Break. My oldest is playing on 2 baseball teams; my middle is participating in soccer camp, 2 weeks now, […]

I love, love the photos Edie has shared so far of the graduation party. You did an amazing job with what I’ve seen so far.
Those water drops in the wakeboarding picture look like they can splash out of the screen.

Recognition Night for our homeschool group last night – I can breathe a little easier. Our youngest is trying swim team this year, so I know of the sports running around. You are far busier than I am. My daughter took and passed her nurse licensing exam (yay!). I’m sewing today because now we’re planning a certain little girl’s first birthday party. That’s about it right now.

I love the photos of the graduation party. You did an amazing job. And those water pictures look like I can reach into the computer screen and touch them.

Lots going on here, too. My son is on swim team. We’re planning a first birthday party for a certain little girl. I’m sewing trying to catch everything up. And my daughter passed her nurse licensing exam so she’s officially an RN.

I don’t know how you keep up with all the sports, etc. I used to do it back in the day. Now one keeps me busy enough!

Cate - May 29, 2011 - 3:39 am

Your pics of the party are wonderful – and you can do anything you put your mind to girl, so keep at it with your photography :-)

Cathy - May 29, 2011 - 5:09 pm

What a wonderful post, my dear! I will follow you wherever you guest post…exciting! Your photography skills…just when i think they can’t get any better, they do! My favorite is that last one of the little hanging lanterns (will you find out where they came from for me?!) It’s funny how our lives run parallel…been busy here, too…disconnected from blog life…but you remind me life is to be lived (you wakeboarding mama, you)! And if there’s extra minutes, then we can blog :) many xoxo

Just scrolled through all your posts and photos from the last week, and as always am completely enamoured. Those summer sun shots simply wooed me. I know you have high expectations and are probably a perfectionist when it comes to your photography, but by my eye, you are gifted beyond belief.

P.S. loved your post over at Emily’s place, too.

i so enjoyed your post at emily’s space ..and your series here is amazing … early summer in your photos is so artistic ..

About Blog Traffic and Saturday Morning Coffee

Ahhhh, good morning! How are you today? This coffee? This was the best cup of coffee. Ever. It was made for me at small coffee house in Salem, Mass a few weeks ago, but I swear, I can smell it now, even as I brew my own “house” coffee right here in East Tennessee. Maybe […]

Great post, Patty! I wanna come to TN so badly and visit all my Southern SweetTarts. :)

Cathy - March 5, 2011 - 2:59 pm

speechless…it is uncanny! love you :)

Candaces - March 5, 2011 - 5:56 pm

As much as I frequent coffeehouses, I’ve never had one of those where they do the design, how pretty. Thank you for the tips on blogging, I was excited to see that I actually do some of the things listed already and I’m going to try a couple more.

deb @ talk at the table - March 5, 2011 - 6:39 pm

you rock.

and your words to me.
I can’t even tell you how much they meant.

if I stop blogging this moment, it will have been enough.

Love you.

Cate - March 5, 2011 - 10:40 pm

This is too bizarre. You know where my “great photo slaughter” incident happened? At my local chapter of the NZ Photographic Society which I have also just joined in the past month :-)

Great minds…..

I’ve read all of this blogging stuff before and I’ve got to admit that I sort of oscillate between wanting to do these things and grow my blog, or keeping it less “commercial” and letting it grow organically – I’m kind of in the latter space at the moment.

Yay for getting organised and I hope that you are back to normal after your horrid bout of illness. Would LOVE to join you at your get together but flights are a tad expensive these days…… :-)

Amy Avery - March 5, 2011 - 10:47 pm

Hi Patty!
Such inspirational words! I love all the photos especially the coffee ones. I missed y’all yesterday. I kind of feel a little out of the loop with my marathon weeks this past month. But it’s been a great run and now I have one last sprint before the I reach the finish line! Thanks always for your encouraging words and for your friendship. Both mean a great deal to me! Have a great rest of your weekend! I’m looking forward to our meeting at Polly’s house, and I’m still game for hosting May.

Kim - March 7, 2011 - 4:12 am

Thank you for posting this! I hated to miss you guys at the luncheon this month. I have a dilemma now, necessary furniture or coveted camera? LoL!

joann - March 7, 2011 - 4:48 am

I hate it when people give me a blog award, it feels like a chain email. Tell five friends or else!
But maybe that’s just me. There were lots of helpful suggestions here though. Thanks for the tips!
I say “beautiful” and “I’m hungry” when I visit your site all the time. So? You leave me speechless A LOT!
I know it’s boring, but I’ll say it again: “Your blog is BEAUTIFUL!”
I wish I lived closer. I feel like you would have snacks. That would just be the icing on the cake to meeting you…

Laura Hegfield - March 7, 2011 - 3:48 pm
