gift of sight

sun flare and purple flower

Today

I draw in a deep breath

of this crisp, cool air

grass & sky

and I am grateful

dandelion, bokeh

for this magical place in which I live…

favorite view

Where the light cascades down from the sky…

sun flares with grass and sky

Glances off the tree tops

gravel path

and bounces on the grass

sparkling dew in grass 2

and lands in the flowers

purple flower, sun flare

where it dances as the breeze blows

daisies with sun flare

and rests in the petals

sun flare in rhodadendrum

and sparkles on the dew drops

sparkly dew in grass

that were captured in the spider webs.

I bet it looks like this where you live, too.

Heather - May 11, 2010 - 3:23 pm

Lovely. I really like the sun sparkles in the photos, did you do something “special” to achieve that (in processing) or is that just the way it gleans off the lens? Thanks for sharing.

Oh how I miss the beauty of trees and flowers in the open spaces of undeveloped land… I love the way you’ve isolated and cropped the landscape so that we can look where your eyes paused as you embraced the setting. This is the place where poetry writes itself.
