1440 {52} :: Morning in The Jungle, Costa Rica Continued

Slowly, I became aware of their sounds in the deep distance as I skipped from dream to dream. “Oooo. Oooo. Oooo.” Another replied sharply, “Uht! Uht! Uht!”Behind it all was a chior of birds and reptiles… And monkeys. And then I could isolate them out again, “Oooo. Oooo. Oooo.” “Uht! Uht! Uht!” I tried lifting […]

Just lovely. We went to Costa Rica in March of 2012 as a family and had so much fun as well. My kids still remember all the activities and comment often about them. We jam pack our vacations with so many sites and activities, I don’t ever call it relaxing though! haha

Dina@4LettreWords - July 19, 2013 - 2:29 pm

So, so beautiful! Of course, with all this rain (40+ inches since January), we are getting jungle-like in Georgia. :)

Molly - July 19, 2013 - 4:09 pm

The light in these is amazing

1440 {32} :: Dreaming of Spring

With all this rain and cold we’ve been having, I’ve been craving some sunshine and spring. {Or sweet memories of the tropics, at least!} Thought you might be, too. Would you believe I still have a few days’ worth of pictures from Costa Rica to share? It’s true, I do. These were taken at the […]

oh with 6 inches of snow expected tonight – I can ONLY dream of spring!!

Tamar Strauss-Benjamin - February 22, 2013 - 12:00 pm

Oh, I hear you! We have more snow on the way this weekend and as much as I love snow and winter, I am ready to not need 35 layers to go outside!

Kim Stevens - February 22, 2013 - 2:52 pm

Our temps are spring like, but sheesh, I really need some sunshine – it’s been rainy and gloomy. And yeah for more Costa Rica pictures! Thanks so much for hosting!

MG Atwood - February 22, 2013 - 6:11 pm

Such lovely shots.

Tracey of Haiku.You.Do - February 22, 2013 - 8:59 pm

Oh my. I can’t wait for spring to arrive and bring along with it some color, warmth, and flowers! So sick of the boring winter.

Kim Cunningham - February 22, 2013 - 9:22 pm

Lovely flora! The first image looks like a flower we had in Thailand. It was called a needle plant. They were often given to teachers because they were “sharp” intellectually! :)

Serendipity is Sweet - February 23, 2013 - 2:39 am

These are gorgeous! I can feel the warmth!!

Costa Rica, A Hike and A Swim, Adventure Day part 2

After spending the morning zip lining, and a delicious lunch back at Jungle Camp, we decided to explore the rainforest on the other side of the river. The only way to get to the other side without getting wet was to take this basket that was suspended across the river. It is used by native […]

Costa Rica, Adventure Day in the Jungle, part 1

I know… feels like this trip will never end, right?  😉 It actually went by very quickly for us. Saturday through Saturday with six full days of adventure activities. Puts “vacation” in a whole new perspective. On this particular day, we hiked up from jungle camp, a little deeper into the jungle, and spent the […]
